Friends of Libraries are non profit charitable groups formed to support libraries in communities. Friends of Libraries groups are often involved in fundraising, advocacy, volunteerism, public awareness campaigns, and literacy programs. The Friends of the Redgranite Library plays an integral role in advocacy for your community library. This worthwhile organization purchases materials for the library by raising funds through book sales and other activities. You can make a long lasting and significant difference in your library by joining this fun loving group. They meet every other month on the second Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Redgranite Library. Their next scheduled meeting is Wed., April 9, at 10 a.m. Stop in at any/all meetings that are convenient for you, as new members are always welcome! The Friends will be sponsoring a "Basket Silent Auction" which will be held from March 17-April 12. A variety of unique basket assortments will be on display at the Redgranite Library awaiting your bid. What a great way to show your support of our library--the heart of our community! Call the library at 920-566-0176 for details.
